This group has been many years in the making. Every time a woman would come in the gun store I’d talk to her about my women’s group, A Girl & A Gun. If she was with a gentlemen, he would ALWAYS say something like “is there a group like that for men?”. After getting so many requests in the last 4 years, I decided to start a men’s group in my local area, Bastrop, Texas. The idea is for men to have a place and time several times a month to gather and practice with a goal. Each event has an education segment, a range portion and fellowship time with light refreshments.
Men need a fun, casual learning environment to work on building their skills, have fun, hang out, and meet like-minded people several times a month. Tactical gun camp isn’t the place most people want to start! Men also need a non-intimidating place to start their firearms journey and to build into the skill level they want without having to travel into an unknown environment and be away from their families and work for several days.
I’m very excited about the group and what it brings to our community, a friendly place to come and learn, meet other gentlemen in their community and practice new skills. I’m looking very forward to seeing how this group grows over the next few years. Something new has come to the men’s shooting space!
