Goals for 2026

Sharing My Goals for 2026

The new year is upon us. I’m sure I’m not alone in feeling like time seems to be marching to a faster and faster beat lately! This is a true statement, I just got used to writing 2025 just a few months ago, LOL. And here we are on the cusp of 2026.

I’ve had a successful 2025 and starting this organization is among my highest achievements this year! Watching all of you attend regularly, build skills and build community has been amazing to watch! I’ve had other successes too. 2 new certifications are on my resume, I successfully run a nationwide match for the premier women’s shooting organization. Referrals have been amazing this last year. I won a national grant for women’s shooting in the shotgun sports and building that community, networks and relationships are stronger than ever. It’s very gratifying to say that everything I’ve done this last year has helped further my mission: My mission is to create confident, competent, responsible gun owners.

But, in order to grow professionally and to grow our local 2A communities it’s also important to think about what needs to happen going forward. Growing this organization is going to be a high priority. Growing sporting shotgun in our area is also going to be a top priority. Supporting those in my local area in the 2A community will continue to be a focus. Building better shooters, helping them achieve their goals is the highest priority of all. There are a lot of plates spinning and sometimes it’s a struggle to manage it all so I will be working hard on refining processes and learning to say no to things that don’t further the mission. I want to do all the things! So this is an area that needs focus and discipline.

What are your goals in shooting this year? Try a match for the first time? Take a class? Bring some friends into our community? Develop your skills enough to be confident to be on your church security team? Get your LTC? Regardless of your goals, please feel free to share them with your Group Guyde. Not sure what your goals are? That’s okay! Keep coming to events and practice your skills. You can decide later. But, if you know what you want to accomplish this next year, make a plan and work that plan. All ships rise with the tide so we can all rise and get better together. And help each other and be accountable to each other. I’m accountable to you all and work hard to enrich your lives by being members of this group. Please feel free to reach out to me anytime you have a comment, suggestion or concern. Have a Happy New Year and see you in 2026.

 Stay safe and keep training!
